Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures with my boys, natural living, things I love, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Watercolor "Corn Study"

I LOVE fall. I love the colors, the smells, the flavors. I just love it all. When planning this year’s art projects, we knew we wanted to do at least two fall themed projects.

I decorate my house in fall themes every year right around October 1st. October is my birthday months, so it feels like I do it for myself. I mean, most people decorate or get flowers for a birthday party. I get to have my flowers and decorations all year. One thing i always have as part of decor is Indian corn. I have looked at them so many times, studying the different colors in nature and comparing this corn to corn you buy at the store to eat. I wonder if the original Pilgrims received this beautiful colored corn from the Indians. Is that why it’s called “Indian Corn’? Okay, I’ll look it up.

Found it: Indian Corn: A Fall Favorite - HISTORY

Please go to the store on my page to purchase a download of this class. There I have a step by step instruction, lots of pictures. It’s fun.
