Alexander Calder inspired Wire Fish in a Tank Sculpture

I loved doing this project with the students and across the board, this was one of their favorite mediums to work with. WIRE! and the wire tools was something different for the students to work with, a break from paint and such. I wish I had taken pictures of the student’s work, but I didn’t take any that day! why?????

I will be attaching the materials used below, but, you can go to Teachers Pay Teachers to purchase this class HERE!

Use a 15 or 16 gauge wire for the fish tank and the 17 or 18 gauge wire for the fish. It will be easier to bend when it’s thinner for the students. The higher the gauge, the thicker it is.
