Clay Day! Coil Pot. Working with Air Dry Clay
I love Love Love Clay Day! I took all the classes that were offered in college as far as clay goes: ceramics I, II, III, Wheel Throwing 1 and 2 and even took a non-credited class just to have some time with creating out of clay and then creating my own glazes. I love it. And I do dream of a day when I own a kiln and a couple wheels to throw on. Maybe a studio. Itβs going to be amazing! Or like a coffee shop/ceramics lab. One can dream.

This is a class favorite project, and I will do a slab a different year. This year we did coil pots. Below are pictures from class. As you can see, I took a few of the classes outside to do this project. It was a beautiful spring day. We set up two tables, a big bucket or water and a hose connected to the building that came to the work area to wash our hands. I liked doing these outside. Got the students out of the classroom and easy clean up.
