Leonardo da Vinci inspired Wing Study sketch with charcoal pencils on old paper
I love Leonardo da Vinci. To me, he was one of the best artist of all time. I love that we have so many sketches from his work. Some, like the Vitruvian Man sketch is one of the most popular images that are around. We did a wing study that was inspired by Leonardo’s original sketch of a bird wing.
Did you know he was left handed? and he may have been dyslexic? He wrote backwards. Some say he did that to keep his notes illegible, but he may have indeed been dyslexic - I’m sure they didn’t have a term for that 500 years ago. He had a genius mind. He saw things different than other people in his time. I think he was incredible.
